Draft — Post #39 · Target keyword: canva bulk create poshmark · Meta: Poshmark doesn't export a CSV of closet photos. Here's how to pull listing image URLs and batch-create Canva graphics for drops, sales, and closet promos.

It's Sunday night and you're loading 30 new items into your Poshmark closet for the week. Spring jackets, a few designer bags, a stack of jeans. Before you list the last item, you want a "new drop" graphic for Instagram and a covershot ready for tonight's Posh Show. You copy the photo links from your listings into a spreadsheet, upload it to Canva Bulk Create, and every design comes back with an empty image box or the raw URL printed across the frame where the product photo should be.

It gets worse the more you sell. A closet doing 30+ listings a week, running weekly Posh Shows, and pushing a clearance sale every season is looking at hundreds of product photos a month, each one needing its own promo card, drop graphic, or sale flyer. Building those one at a time in Canva turns a Sunday relist session into a Tuesday backlog.

Poshmark doesn't hand sellers a spreadsheet of image links ready to paste into anything. Crosslisting tools like Vendoo and List Perfectly sync your titles and prices across platforms, but none of them solve the actual problem: getting your listing photos into a format Canva Bulk Create can read. Here's the real workflow, and where Poshmark sellers usually get stuck before they find it.

Why Canva Bulk Create Stalls for Poshmark Sellers

Canva Bulk Create only pulls a photo into a design when the image is physically embedded inside the spreadsheet file, in a format called DrawingML. A link sitting in a cell doesn't count, even when it's a real, working URL. Canva reads it as text, same as an item title or a price, and either prints the raw link into your design or leaves the image frame blank. We covered the full mechanics in why Canva Bulk Create ignores image URLs, but the short version: Canva needs the actual picture sitting inside the cell, not a pointer to where it lives online.

This is what makes the failure so confusing for Poshmark sellers specifically. Right-click a listing photo and choose Copy Image Address, and you get a genuine direct link on Poshmark's CDN, something like di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net/posts/2026/07/10/.../l_xxxxx.jpeg. Paste that into a browser tab and the photo loads instantly. That's exactly why it feels broken: the link clearly works, and Canva still can't see it.

The Manual Workaround Most Poshmark Sellers Try First

Two fixes usually come up before someone finds a converter.

Insert > Pictures in Excel. Save each listing photo to your desktop, then place it into the spreadsheet by hand with Insert > Pictures. Fine for the 3 or 4 hero shots in one sale flyer. For a full week of new listings, it turns into an hour of downloading, dragging, and resizing, and the images tend to float above the cells instead of sitting inside them, which breaks Canva's row matching.

The =IMAGE() formula in Google Sheets. Paste =IMAGE("https://...") and the photo appears to sit right in the cell. It doesn't actually embed anything. It's a live formula rendering a preview. Export that sheet as XLSX or CSV and Canva sees a broken formula or flattened text, never a picture. We wrote the full breakdown in our =IMAGE() post.

Both get you through one sale flyer. Neither survives a real relist week.

What You Need Before You Start

  • A Canva template for whatever you're producing: new-drop graphic, closet sale flyer, Posh Show covershot, or bundle promo
  • Your listings organized by what you're promoting (this week's drops, a clearance category, a bundle deal), so you're not hunting for photos row by row
  • A way to pull image URLs out of Poshmark, since there's no built-in "export as spreadsheet" button

That last part is the real gap. Poshmark's My Inventory Report gives you a CSV of listing data like SKU, price, listing date, and likes, but the fields Poshmark documents don't include a photo URL column. Crosslisting tools like Vendoo and List Perfectly solve a different problem too. They sync your listing text across marketplaces and help with photo aspect ratios per platform, not with getting a spreadsheet of image links out of your closet. If you want your photo URLs in one place, you're collecting them listing by listing.

Step 1: Collect Your Poshmark Image URLs

For a sale flyer or weekly drop (5 to 30 items). Open each listing, right-click the cover photo, and choose Copy Image Address (or Copy Image Link, depending on your browser). That grabs a direct URL on Poshmark's CloudFront CDN. For a normal week's worth of new listings, this takes about as long as writing your listing descriptions did. Paste each link into your spreadsheet next to the matching item name.

For a full closet clean-out. There's no dashboard button for this. Some sellers use third-party scraping tools to pull an entire closet's worth of photos and data at once, but that runs into gray area around Poshmark's terms of service on automated access, so it's not something to build a recurring workflow on. The manual copy method works for a large batch too, it just takes longer. Most bulk-graphic runs only need the hero shot per item anyway, not every angle.

Either way, you want to land on something like this:

item_namepricecategoryimage_url
Vintage Levi's 501 Jacket48Outerwearhttps://di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net/posts/.../l_1.jpeg
Coach Crossbody Bag65Bagshttps://di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net/posts/.../l_2.jpeg
Free People Maxi Dress32Dresseshttps://di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net/posts/.../l_3.jpeg

Step 2: Clean Up the Sheet

Keep only what your template needs. A new-drop graphic usually needs item name, price, and the image. A closet sale flyer might just need the photo and a discount percentage. Drop everything else, category tags, SKU, cost basis, they're not doing anything for a social graphic.

Step 3: Convert the URLs Into Embedded Images

This is the step that actually fixes the problem. Postprep takes your spreadsheet, fetches the image behind every URL in the column you pick, and returns an XLSX with each image embedded directly in its cell.

  1. Go to postprep.app
  2. Upload your Poshmark spreadsheet (CSV or XLSX)
  3. Select image_url as the column to convert
  4. Download the finished XLSX

No account needed for the first 100 rows. A week's worth of new listings runs through in under a minute.

Step 4: Build or Reuse Your Canva Template

If you already have a template for drops or sale flyers, open it. If not:

  1. Start a new design at the size you need. Instagram post, story, or 168 x 252px if you're building a Posh Show covershot
  2. Add a text box for the item name and type {{item_name}}
  3. Add a text box for price and type {{price}}
  4. Drop in an image frame for the product photo

Field names in {{double braces}} need to match your spreadsheet's column headers exactly, capitalization included.

Step 5: Run Bulk Create

  1. With your template open, click Apps → Bulk Create in Canva's side panel
  2. Upload the XLSX Postprep gave you
  3. Match each spreadsheet column to its element on the design
  4. Click Continue, then Generate designs

Canva outputs one finished graphic per row. Download the batch or drop it straight into your posting schedule.

A Repeatable Workflow for Poshmark Sellers

Weekly new-drop posts. Every time you list a fresh batch, pull the hero shots, run the sheet through Postprep, and batch a full set of "just listed" graphics instead of building each one from scratch.

Posh Show covershots. Building a themed show (denim night, designer bags, size-run sale)? Batch the covershot and any per-item slide graphics from the same converted sheet.

Closet clean-out and clearance sales. Filter your sheet down to the items on sale, run it through Postprep once, and generate a full set of marked-down price graphics in one Bulk Create pass.

Bundle promos. Group items into bundle categories in your spreadsheet (by size, by category, by season) and generate a promo card per bundle instead of per item.

If you also sell vintage or handmade on the side, the same spreadsheet habits carry over. See how Etsy sellers use Canva Bulk Create or the general playbook for how resellers use Canva Bulk Create.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Copy Image Address actually work on Poshmark listing photos?

Yes. It's a standard browser feature and Poshmark doesn't block it on listing images. Right-click the photo in any listing and Copy Image Address shows up the same way it does on most websites.

Can I use this workflow with other sellers' listing photos?

Stick to your own. The technical steps work on any public Poshmark photo, but the images are still someone else's product photography. Only run this for listings you own or have explicit permission to repost.

Does the My Inventory Report export include my photos?

Not as far as Poshmark documents. The report covers listing metadata like SKU, price, listing date, and likes, not a photo URL field. If that's changed since this was written, Poshmark support can confirm, but don't build a workflow around an image column that isn't documented.

Do Vendoo or List Perfectly replace this workflow?

No. Crosslisting tools solve a different problem, syncing your listing text and photos across marketplaces when you cross-post. They don't hand you a spreadsheet of image URLs for building Canva graphics. You'd still collect image links the way this guide describes, then run them through Postprep.

What size should my Poshmark graphics be?

Posh Show covershots run 168 x 252px. Regular Instagram posts are 1080 x 1080px, Stories are 1080 x 1920px. Set your Canva template to the size that matches where you're posting before you run Bulk Create.

How many listings can I run through Postprep at once?

Free for the first 100 rows, no account required. That covers several weeks of new drops in one pass for most closets. Bigger sellers running hundreds of active listings can batch by category or by sale.

The Short Version

Poshmark gives every listing photo a real, working link, but Canva Bulk Create still won't read it, because Bulk Create only recognizes images embedded inside the spreadsheet, not linked to it. Right-click to copy the image address for the items you're promoting, drop the links in a spreadsheet next to your item data, run the file through Postprep to get the images properly embedded, then upload that to Canva Bulk Create.

Collect your URLs, convert with Postprep, generate in Canva. That's the whole workflow, whether you're building one sale flyer or a full week of new-drop graphics.

Pete is a small business owner who got tired of social media eating his evenings. Posting product graphics across channels used to mean opening Canva, dropping in each image by hand, and repeating that for every listing and every platform. He kept hitting the same wall: Canva Bulk Create can save hours, but it refuses to read image URLs from a spreadsheet — turning a 5-minute workflow into a 2-hour copy-paste job. So he built Postprep to fix that one specific limitation, and writes about bulk content workflows, design tool limitations, and shipping social content without burning out.
